REFINED CELEBRATIONS.
PLAYFUL HEARTS.

Juno by Julia C. Vona was made to honor your celebration the way you see it. Composed, considered, completely yours. Heirlooms, made to last.

The Story Behind Juno

Cofounded by Julia C. Vona in Montreal in 2010, Junophoto began as a distinct editorial voice in the wedding industry — long before the aesthetic of modern wedding photography was defined.  Fifteen years and three hundred celebrations later, the work continues under a new name. Juno by Julia C. Vona.

“HIRING JULIA was THE EASIEST and BEST DECISION WE MADE! WE FELT COMFORTABLE with HER FROM DAY ONE and HAD SO MUCH FUN EVERY TIME WE WERE TOGETHER.”

Hi, I'm julia

LOVER of LIGHT. MOTHER of TWO. FINE DINING ENTHUSIAST. DETAIL-OBSESSED. ALWAYS CHASING BEAUTY.

I have been obsessed with imagery for as long as I can remember. As a teenager in the South of France, I cut fashion editorials out of magazines and pinned them to my wall — David LaChapelle, Helmut Newton, images that were cinematic, deliberately composed, and alive with story. I studied cinema, trained in fashion photography, and found my way to weddings through a single, perfectly curated celebration that showed me what this work could truly be.

I grew up between two cultures, born in Quebec, raised in the South of France, which means I have strong opinions about croissants, and I feel equally at home shooting a cobblestone street in Montreal as I do a golden estate in Provence. That is exactly the eye I bring to your day — someone who sees your celebration the way a director sees a film. I find the light before anyone else does. I notice every detail, the way the dress falls, the stationery, the florals, the ring catching the light. I know how to guide you through your portraits so you feel confident and completely yourself. The result is a gallery that honors the beauty of your day without ever pulling you away from its joy.

Becoming a mother to Clara and Lea deepened the way I see every celebration I photograph. When a mother watches her daughter walk down the aisle, I know exactly what that moment weighs. It is in every frame I create.

THE juno DIFFERENCE

Every Celebration Has Its Own Rhythm — the quiet tenderness, the unguarded laughter, the moments that arrive unexpectedly.

My role is to move within that rhythm — attuned to the light, the energy and the details that might otherwise slip away. I am always looking for beauty. The golden hour falling across a stone wall. The candlelight catching the florals. The soft morning light of a getting-ready room. Each one tells a different story. I know how to use all of them.

I combine editorial guidance with a warm, joyful presence, because I want you to look extraordinary and feel completely like yourself at the same time. I pay attention to every detail during your portraits, your angle, the light, how you stand together. Guiding you with quiet confidence so you never feel stiff or posed. And between the portrait moments, I am there for everything that unfolds naturally. The stolen glances. The table full of laughter. The gentle hand that wipes away the tear.

Bilingual, and a decade spent living in the South of France, which means something practical for you. If you are dreaming of a wedding in Provence or on the French Riviera, I become more than your photographer. I am your guide, your cultural bridge, and your creative partner who already knows exactly how to capture you in that particular French light.
