The story
Spring is (almost?) Finally here! Which means that engagement season has also begun!
Our first engagement session of the season turned out to be a maternity session in Old Montreal! When we met Melanie and Olivier for the first time last year, they told us they were expecting a baby! Therefore I suggested we could take the opportunity to do their session when Melanie would have beautiful baby bump 😉
So this spring we photographed the future parents to capture this particularly special moment in their lives. As spring has been pretty shy this year old Montreal was perfect for their maternity session since it highlights architecture rather than nature. The end-of-day light was so perfect!
I often suggest to our couples to bring multiple choices of clothing if they wish. This allows a certain variety in the photos: a casual style and maybe the other a little more chic. For maternity sessions, the ideal is often a dress or a tight garment to highlight the belly. And flat shoes! To ensure that the future mother is comfortable during the session. I love the looks that Mélanie and Olivier chose for their session 🙂
During their maternity session in Old Montreal we had the most adorable meeting: a mother duck with her ducklings! How appropriate! One of the little ones was always trying to jump on his mother’s back, without much success but it was the cutest !!
We can’t wait to see them again at their wedding in September at Golf Le Mirage, this time with a baby boy! Seeing how cute the parents are, their baby will surely be the most adorable! 😉
