Old Port of Montreal

There’s a good reason why Old Montreal is a popular location for engagement photos. The picturesque cobblestone streets, historic buildings, and breathtaking views of the waterfront make it an ideal location for your photographs. The Old Port of Montreal is the perfect backdrop for a romantic stroll through Place Jacques-Cartier, take in the stupendous Notre-Dame Basilica, or take a picture of the stunning sunset over the St. Lawrence River! 

Mount Royal

Are you a nature lover who enjoys a tranquil getaway from the city’s hustle and bustle? Mount Royal is affectionately known as “the mountain”. It’s the highest point in Montreal! This is an ideal location for a romantic and intimate engagement session due to its picturesque trails, lush vegetation, and panoramic views of the city skyline. The Beaver Lake provides a picturesque setting and the Belvedere lookout is the ideal location for a stunning background.

Botanical Garden

The Botanical Garden is an excellent option if you’re looking for a stunning and one-of-a-kind location for your engagement session. This natural paradise has over 75 hectares of beautiful gardens, greenhouses, and ponds, providing an endless supply of beautiful photo opportunities. You can stroll through the Japanese Garden, take in the Chinese Garden’s vibrant flowers, or look around the Alpine Garden’s stunning landscapes.

Lachine Canal/Atwater Market

The Lachine Canal is an iconic location—and a stunning choice for your Montreal engagement session. It has scenic pathways, historic stone walls, and beautiful bridges make a lovely and romantic setting for your photos. This one is less known but definitely one of my favorites since it combines nature, beautiful waterfront and old European architecture with the Stewart Hall building. This building was once a private mansion, but now stands as a cultural centre, art gallery, and community centre. So if you are hesitating between nature and architectural background, Stewart Hall Park is for you!

Downtown Montreal

If you are into gorgeous architecture, then I can’t wait to show you some secret spots in downtown Montreal. These spots will transport you to Europe almost instantly! If you want a very chic lifestyle engagement session, this is the perfect location!

Park Jean Drapeau 

There’s something magical about Park Jean Drapeau, especially in spring! The oh-so-romantic about blossoming trees during Spring time will make you feel like you’re floating in a dream. They also have beautiful gardens and willow trees. Though it’s technically not on the Island of Montreal (but Ile St Helene) it’s so close that I wanted to be included in the list. Plus you can easily access it through Montreal metro station. Definitely one of the top locations for stunning engagement session photos.
